Jessandra Kono- President

Hello! I'm so proud to be acting president for the 2017-18 academic year! I am a fourth year cello performance and education double major. I love being involved in the community and having the privilege to work with an amazing group of people! I've had the wonderful opportunity to perform in the UCI Symphony along with many chamber groups during my time here. I've also had many opportunities to teach within UCI as a Resident Advisor and off campus at local schools and non-profits. I'm really looking forward to a great year!

Kenai Gonzalez- Vice President

Hello! My name is Kenai Gonzalez and I am a 3rd year Music major here at UCI. My main focus is singing, but I also love to play the guitar, piano, bass, ukulele, and the occasional drum set. I also love to produce and write songs. When I'm not doing music I enjoy hiking, the beach, running, and watching Netflix. Last year I served as the Steward and New Member Educator and I am greatly looking forward to carrying that experience into my time as the Vice President of the Delta Sigma chapter!

Mission: To cultivate and nurture the vision of communal, educational, and musical integrity and improvement of the Delta Sigma Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon, UCI, and the community at large.

Angelica Rowell- Chaplain

Hi all! My name is Angelica Rowell and I am a fourth year Vocal Performance and Drama double major from the Bay Area. I love all things coffee, Disney, and elephant related. Crafting, creative writing, and spending time with my friends are a huge part of my life, as well as telling stories that don't get told often, but should be. In my last 3 years at UC Irvine, I have been in over 20 concerts, including a residency with composer Morten Lauridson; participated in the Drama department's productions of Evita and Shakespeare's Coriolanus; and portrayed the role of the Sorceress in Purcell's opera Dido and Aeneas. I believe that community service and helping others is a vital part of life and I am excited to share this philosophy with Delta Sigma.

Mission: To provide the Delta Sigma chapter with volunteer resources and opportunities within the school (Claire Trevor School of the Arts and UCI) and the greater community.

Amanda Cheung- Steward

Hi! My name is Amanda Cheung and I was born and raised in San Francisco, California. I am a second year at the University of California, Irvine and a piano performance major. I started playing the piano at five-years-old, and I haven’t stopped ever since! Piano came naturally to me, and I soon participated in the annual United States Open Music Competition and placed second and third. In 2011, I got the opportunity from the American Fine Arts Festival to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City. I really found my passion for music in high school, when I decided to become a music major. Moving hours away from home to college was difficult, but joining Mu Phi Epsilon has opened my world of music and given me my home away from home.

Mission: To bring alive the rituals and traditions of Mu Phi Epsilon. Rituals can be something easily looked past due to repetition, thus they can lose their meaning. Mu Phi’s rituals are important because they reminds us what values bond us together.

Brianna Finnell- Historian

My name is Brianna Finnell and I'm the 2017-2018 Mu Phi Epsilon Historian. I’m very excited to be starting my senior year! Last year I was very involved in UCI's opera production “Our Town” where I portrayed the role of Emily Webb. Before I came to UC Irvine, I received my Associates Degree from College of the Desert. In 2015, I won the McCallum Theatre Open Call grand prize; it was one of the most memorable nights of my life. Outside of school, I’ve received the opportunity to work on Television shows for many major Hollywood networks. I also sing at Irvine United Congregational Church and teach voice lessons. Being in Mu Phi Epsilon has given me many connections to students across campus. I believe the fraternity has given me many opportunities and skills that are beneficial to working in the arts.

Mission: To document the moments we share as a chapter.  To continue the documentation of our milestones (which began in 2001) tangibly and online through different platforms.

Nena Aldaz- Standards

Hello! My name is Nena Aldaz and I am going into my fourth year as a Vocal Performance major. While I am currently studying opera and classical voice, I want to focus on musical theater in the future. Along with Mu Phi Epsilon, I am also in an a cappella group on campus, Vevo. I love to sing, bake, read, and go to Disneyland in my spare time. I am very much looking forward to being a part of the Exec Board this year.

Mission: To make sure the Delta Sigma chapter runs in the fairest, most transparent, and efficient way possible. To make everyone's voice heard and to ensure that the group is well-represented to the outer Irvine community, as well as aid it in its growth to help it thrive.
